The Ransom Note

Please tell me that someone, anyone from either Colorado or Thai law enforcement did some type of handwriting analysis of the ranson note before they arrested John Mark Karr. Please! If not, this is the worst kind of police work and a rush to judgement would be an understatement.

Just another conundrum in this whole scenario is the ransom note itself, which sounds more like a fantasy being played out (which would fit the profile of a pedophile) as opposed to an actual ransom note. I found a very interesting analysis of the ransom note done by Mark McClish, who has been in federal law enforcement for 18 years. From 1991 to 1999, he was the lead instructor on interviewing techniques at the United States Marshals Service Training Academy. During this time he developed a system to determine is a person is being truthful or deceptive. He currently gives presentations on Statement Analysis throughout the United States. His book I Know You Are Lying analyzes eight famous cases, including the JonBenet murder case.
